The peer-to-peer web calling service added screensharing to the Mac client in 2009, but it has only worked. Skype has updated its Mac OS X client to support screen sharing in group video calls. With this option, you can share the whole screen or you can even choose to share a specific application window. In the participant’s video section, you will see the screen-sharing icon at the bottom right. To share system audio with this method, you must first start a video conference.
More options, to Start recording, Take snapshot, Turn subtitles on, Turn off incoming video, Hold call, go to Audio and Video settings or if you can, Choose background effects (not available in Skype for Web) during a video call. It gives you the option to adjust the size of screen. Note: If you want to share only a small part of the screen then select “Share selection”. Go to Call- Share Your Screen- Share Full Screen.
You will either get a Skype notification directing you to Settings, or you will need to grant Skype access for Screen Recording in macOS Catalina System Preferences. If you’re using Skype for Mac on macOS 10.15 (Catalina), Skype requires access to Screen recording in the Mac System Preferences to share your screen during a call.
